Winterization Services
As fall approaches and temperatures begin to decline, Sprinkl-Rite sets up an appointment to winterize your irrigation system for the season. For this service, a high volume air compressor is used to purge the system of unwanted water that could freeze and damage the system. The irrigation shut off valve is monitored as well to make sure that it is operating properly.
We recommend that winterization be performed from early October to the end of November. Clients who have backflow prevention devices such as Pressure Vacuum Breakers (PVB) that are unprotected from the elements should have their system winterized earlier rather than later in the fall to avoid potential damage.
